Accessibility at Wrexham AFC

The Racecourse Ground (STōK Cae Ras) in Wrexham features extensive accessible facilities, including dedicated viewing platforms, wheelchair bays, and sensory/autism-friendly accommodations. The club offers comprehensive services for both home and away supporters. Key facilities and services provided include:

  • Wheelchair & Ambulant Viewing: The stadium offers elevated viewing platforms and pitchside wheelchair bays across various stands (including dedicated spaces for away fans). Companion tickets are provided free of charge for those requiring assistance.
  • Sensory & Autism Support: The ground is certified as autism-friendly. It features a dedicated quiet hub with sensory equipment/lighting, and an exclusive quiet entrance at Gate 12 on Mold Road to avoid busy crowds.Facilities for Visual & Hearing Impairments: Braille signage is installed across all stands, and high-contrast paint is used in dementia-friendly areas. The club also provides an Audio Descriptive Commentary service for blind and visually impaired fans.
  • Accessible Amenities: Accessible toilets are located throughout the stadium, including at the back of the sensory quiet zone. Concession stands feature lowered counters and dedicated steward assistance for easier food and drink ordering.
  • Matchday Assistance: Stewards provide an 'at-seat' refreshment ordering service, mitigating the need to queue in crowded concourses. The club also offers free red ear defenders, blankets, and waterproof ponchos for severe weather. Parking: Designated accessible blue-badge parking is available in the adjacent Wrexham University car park.

To secure disability seating, companion tickets, or discuss specific requirements, supporters are advised to contact Wrexham AFC's Disability Liaison Officer (DLO), Kerry Evans, at Kerry.evans@wrexhamafc.co.uk.
